About StartingBlocks

StartingBlocks is a cloud hosted solution providing Ed-Fi as a service. Using Amazon Web Services' (AWS) technologies, EA hosts the Ed-Fi API and ODS for partners to integrate their source data systems into one location. By consolidating separate data systems into a single location, the process of downstream analytics and reporting shifts its focus from spending significant time on data cleaning, to deriving insights and findings from the data.

StartingBlocks helps to abstract away the layer of hosting infrastructure for this data collection system on behalf of district and state agencies. This allows institutions to put more time and attention towards operational needs. Our team also brings expertise in the area of vendor interactions for Ed-Fi integrations and also act as consultants between education agencies and their integrating vendors.

StartingBlocks Admin App (SBAA)

The StartingBlocks Admin App (SBAA) is Education Analytics' (EA) tool for partners to manage their StartingBlocks environments.

With SBAA, you can handle day-to-day admin tasks yourself — such as creating API credentials, managing tenants and ODSs, and working with vendors and claimsets — without waiting on EA for every change.

SBAA is developed, maintained, and hosted by EA.
